Samsung Parts is a New Jersey-based company and one of the largest authorized distributors of Samsung Parts & Accessories.
To help them grow, Samsung Parts needed to re-platform their 14-year-old ASP eCommerce shopping cart to the powerful Magento 2.x platform. The redesign helped them take advantage of the robust marketing features of Magento and integrated over 500K+ SKUs with a complex search and parts finder.
We customized the Magento backend to connect with their legacy ERP (Microsoft Commerce Server). The eCommerce platform also featured a conversion-focused design and made sure their support team, customer service reps, and order fulfillment team had the tools to provide their users with a true omnichannel experience.
Samsung Parts wanted to emphasize functionality while maintaining a clean and simple visual identity. We used a mobile-first design approach to help them stay ahead of the curve in this competitive environment.
Key elements in the design were the search bar and the interactive Parts Finder, which allow users to search by a variety of parameters, refine their results, and discover related parts. When using the Parts Finder, visitors can explore interactive 3D parts diagrams.
This kind of functional web design makes it seamless for users to search by keyword, SKU numbers, and interactive diagrams.
With high order volumes, Samsung Parts’ customer service team needed support from automated returns, ticket-based support, and quick access to current product and customer data as well as phone- and chat-based sales.
Custom logins for customer service reps were also a must. These allow for various permission levels so their team could update everything on the site from product data to customer order and billing information.
