New Jersey Bride is a division of New Jersey Monthly – one of the largest publications in the local bridal industry. As digital continues to overtake print, New Jersey Bride asked us to launch a new site with expanded functionality & a different sales approach to grow their business.
Because NJB’s audience is diverse (different people with different buying needs), the website required a total redesign with custom integrations.
The goal? Turn their magazine into an interactive site. Some core features include custom user account management, robust search filters, and vendor management & messaging tools, plus HubSpot integration. Vendors can also promote their brands via the 3rd-party ad distribution platform, Broadstreet.
The New Jersey Bride custom WordPress CMS allows their in-house house editorial and development teams to update and manage the site on their own. Some integrated third-party analytic and marketing software plugins like HubSpot lets NJB track buyer behaviors. This means vendors can get deeper insights into what motivates users…and a better ROI for their advertising spend!
Other features include easy logins, reservations, rental features, and functionality that allows brides to browse & send messages to vendors and coordinate fine details, set desired dates and close deals. NJB now has a scalable & manageable CMS for their internal team as well as paid vendors.
It’s a web platform they can grow their business on – and one that will grow with them!
The shift to a direct sales model meant New Jersey Bride needed options for various ad listings for different vendors. With the new site and third-party integrations, vendor members have the option to subscribe to a premium service that gives them a first place spot on search lists.
For brides with lots of decisions to make, quality imagery is everything. The high-end site design is image-centric, which, when combined with the sophisticated functionality, takes the stress out of bridal shopping and encourages more sales.
The site features had to work in harmony to address the needs of vendors and brides. While vendors get the functionality and information they need to sell, brides enjoy a seamless and pleasant visual shopping experience.
